I-Hop, Wet Cement...All in a Days Work

Beth(gor) says:

It's been along time since I've posted, and thi whole time I've been telling myself I have nothing to talk about. Now that I look back, I actually do have a few stories. So I'll start waaay back in September when I saw Mallory, Greta, Simmer, and Carl (that was september, right?). Mallory and I had an epic I-hop experience. We both ordered chocolate chip pancakes, and when the waiter was setting down the plates the whipped creme fell off the top, like so:

There was a moment of silence. As soon as the waiter walked away, we were laughing so hard we could hardly breathe. We were still laughing wen the waiter came back and scooped up the whipped cream between two napkins. Later in the meal, Mallory ran out of water and set her glass at the end of the table, hoping for a refill. About ten minutes later, her glass was still empty. So we started talking about how to get the waiters attention. "Why don't you turn around and press your face to the glass and make a funny face? That should get his attention..." So, naturally, we burst out laughing right as the waiter came up to give Mallory her refill. I felt so sorry for the poor guy. We tipped him pretty well after that.

A few days later, I took walk around campus. The waether was beautiful and it was warm. All was well until I stupidly stepped in wet cement. By wet cement, I mean freshly laid cement. My feet sunk down about four inches and my flip-flop got stuck in my foot indent. A man in orange (who I'm assuming was the construction worker) just stared at me. I really wanted to take a picture, but I was so embarrassed I just grabbed my flip-flop and fled. What ticked me off, though, is that I stepped in the wet cement while avoiding other wet cement. I saw that they had redone the sidewalk, so I was just walking around it. As it turned out, they had redone a small part of the road. Just my luck.

Most recently, I got a new roommate. I didn't know my old roommate was leaving until the day of. She just handed me the paperwrk, told me to sign, and then moved out. I spent one peaceful night alone in the room, and then two girls came to me looking for a room. They were both having trouble with their roommates, so I felt bad that I had to choose. In the end I chose a girl named Jessica. We get along much better than I ever got along with Miranda. Jessica likes anime and she's fun to talk to. The only problem She can't freakin' get up in the morning. Her alarm goes off...and keeps going...and going...anywhere from 15 to 36 minutes. I hate the sound of an alarm clock soooooo much. Drives me nuts. Makes me want to punch her in the face.

Classes have been nuts lately. I have a Two 10 page papers and a 45 minute group presentation all around Holloween. I can not wait for Thanksgiving break.

Simmer:

Well, I'm glad you've got a roomie that you get along with better than the first one.

And I love your wet cement experience. It sounds like something I would do.
